Wedding Make Up Interview with: Louise
Categories: Wedding Make Up Interview
Louise and Luke got married in Elvaston Castle in September 2019. You might have already seen some photos from their wedding day on my blog here, and you'll also recognise Louise from my interview with her as Kickass Gatherings. She very kindly answered my interview questions and so I wanted to share them here, and more images from her gorgeous day! One of the smiliest brides ever, and she also had my lovely vintgae hair pal Sarah from Pin Up Curl on styling duties.
When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?
Engaged on Boxing Day 2017, married September 2019, so about 21 months.
What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!
Venue (Elvaston Castle) then hair (Pin Up Curl) and makeup (you!)

How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc.

Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
Because I knew what you could do! Also good reputation and reviews. Never considered doing my own.

How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Loved it, you nailed it first time!

Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
Nope
Nope
Any advice for someone else getting married?
Book a humanist celebrant 😜 and have Sali do your makeup!

"Sali did my makeup for my Sep 2019 wedding. She was great - so friendly and easy to chat to. She uses high-quality ethical products and was really helpful in my trial when I couldn't pick a lip colour! On the day she was so calming and reassuring and even helped one of my bridesmaids through a lash disaster. Highly recommended."
One of the other brucie bonuses of booking me as your wedding makeup artist is that you get discounted 1-2-1 makeup lessons and makeovers for life. So many previous wedding clients love coming to me after they've got married to recreate their wedding face, or learn how to do their makeup better. I flippin' love it coz I get to see you again and chat about everything that happened on your wedding day! Here's Louise's review for the lesson;
"Sali gave me a 1 on 1 makeup lesson and I found it so useful. She showed me how to work with products I already have, but also gave recommendations and colour matched me for other products when I asked her to. She used a combination of different methods to teach me the best ways and places to apply things, and never made me feel like I was doing anything wrong because 'there are no makeup police!' :-D"
