Caroline and Dave married in September 2024 at Carr Bank in Mansfield, with their fur baby George (just between them!) looking on. A lover of metal music, summer festivals, and a pint or two we had a cracking laugh at her trial, putting together the plan for her wedding makeup. Not afraid of colour or being bold, Caz was set on a 1920's style of makeup, with dark eyes and dark lips. We smashed it!
When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?
Got engaged in December 2022, and got married on 20/09/2024. Took 19 months to plan the wedding.
What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!
Chose my wedding dress first from Cherished Wedding Boutique on 4th Feb. Had a 2 hour appointment where I was able to try on a variety of dresses and styles; was able to have family and friends with me, which the appointment even better. They were also honest in giving their opinion of which style they felt suited me. Because I signed up during a wedding fair at the venue, as able to get a good discount as well.
How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc.
Google, looked for wedding make up artists in the Nottingham area.
Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
I chose you as I liked the reviews from previous brides, and loved the different styles of makeup on your Instagram page. Did not consider doing my own make up, as doing my own make up is not a strength of mine, as I only tend to wear makeup when I go out.
How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Loved it. You put me at ease, and were able to advise and recommend different colours, that would complement me and my skin tone. You were very easy to chat to and thoroughly enjoyed the trial appointment.
Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
Nothing at all, it was perfect and made me feel a million dollars.
Any advice for someone else getting married?
To relax and enjoy the day. Don’t stress yourself out. Would highly recommend Sali as a wedding makeup artist!!
