Elvaston Castle wedding

Categories: Weddings, Photoshoots

Back in August 2018, I did a promo shoot for alternative wedding fair Tying the Nott - the next one is on 25 October 2020! It was a fabulous collaborative shoot with wedding suppliers from all over the East Midlands that were wonderful to meet and a joy to work with. Louise was one of the models for the day, despite having never modelled before and did a great job!

Louise mentioned she was planning her own wedding for 2019, and it was lovely when she got in touch to book me for her big day.

We went for less of the bright purple in her eyes and oomph-ed up the glamour! We tried a few different lipsticks and settled on a dark red for her wedding makeup, which complimented her colouring perfectly and her lush red hair. To frame her gorgeously shaped eyes, we went for a slicker and longer line of eyeliner too. For the wedding, she enlisted the help of my vintage partner in crime and hairstyling, Sarah from Pin Up Curl. You just know she was bound to look beautiful on her wedding day! She married her beau Luke at Elvaston Castle.

I found out last week too that their wonderful wedding was featured over on the Rock N Roll Bride blog. Have a read of it here!

Louise left me this lovely review:

"Sali did my makeup for my Sep 2019 wedding. She was great - so friendly and easy to chat to. She uses high-quality ethical products and was really helpful in my trial when I couldn't pick a lip colour! On the day she was so calming and reassuring and even helped one of my bridesmaids through a lash disaster. Highly recommended."

Planning your wedding day? With so many 2020 weddings being postponed into 2021, be sure you get in touch early to secure me for your wedding day with a small deposit. I've also opened up my 2022 books early!
