Sammy and Tim's said their I do's and got married on the last day of me being 37 in 2024! Marrying at a church local to Sammy's parents house, they had their wedding reception at Tim's family house with a tipi in the garden for their reception. In their garden, Tim has a massive double decker bus which has been quite the feature in Sammy and Tim's courtship back in the day, when as a young group of pals they'd hang out and have it as their den! They've been working on doing it up for sometime, especially before the wedding. Sammy was kind enough to answer some questions for me recently so I could feature her wedding on my blog!
When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?
Got engaged in September 2022 and married July 2024 so 22 months
What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!
Wedding venue was first to get the date confirmed.
How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc.
Found on Hitched app.
Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
Reviews were really positive and the images of previous clients matched what I was looking for. I am rubbish at doing my own makeup so never considered doing myself.
How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Amazing, you are just so easy to be around and talk to and you made me look amazing! You're on my wave length of humor too so had a good laugh too.
Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
No, I looked amazing! As did the bridal party and my Mum, we've all raved about it since the wedding
Any advice for someone else getting married?
Just enjoy the day and try to take it all in.
"If you want a make up artist that will make you look and feel confident and amazing and also have a great laugh then Sali is the one for you. She made me look and feel beautiful and we had such a laugh on the trial and the morning of my wedding. All morning there was laughing coming from the room she was in. My bridesmaids, Mum and myself all said how amazing we felt and how beautiful we all looked. Would highly recommend Sali, she was attentive and listened to what I wanted, as someone who doesn't wear makeup often she helped me pick the right look for my wedding day."
