Favourite Eyebrow Products

If eyes are the windows to the soul, then the eyebrows are the window frames; and it's soon noticable when they are rotten!

The trends for eyebrows change so often, it's almost impossible to keep up with what's in fashion or not. I'm not diagnosed but I'm fairly sure I have trichotillomania so I've had my eyebrows tattooed for the last few years now. I documented my eyebrows before I had them tattooed, and then after I had them done with Charmaine Shinner. Having my brows tattooed absolutely revolutionised my relationship with my face, and gave me so much confidence after having pencilled them in for so long. All of this was down to the skills and knowledge that Charmaine has, and the care and attention she gives to each client. I recommend her to all my clients who consider semi-permanent makeup.

Whether you still have a full brow or are nursing the tiniest amount of hair, here are some of my favourite products.

Nude by Nature - Defining Brow Pencil - Relatively new in my professional kit, but I like how soft they are which is great for adding a little definition and then softening with the brush at the adjecent end. I've found them great for using on the slightly more mature client.

Soap and Glory - Precision Brow Pencil and Brush - A super fine pencil, which I find great for adding individual hair strokes to fill in gaps.

Soap and Glory - Defining Brow Crayon and Setting Gel - This one is so good it's in my professional kit and my personal kit. I love the crayon texture for giving me a little more colour to my tattooed brows. I prefer a more powdered look to my brows so don't need to create hair texture. The gel is great for making sure all hairs are facing the same way once filled in.

E.L.F Cosmetics - Instant Life Waterproof Brow Pencil - For a grand total of £4, you can't go wrong with this pencil from ELF. A super pigmented pencil with a brush on the other end to groom brows into shape.

E.L.F Cosmetics - Clear Lash and Brow Gel - Another absolute steal for £3! Clear mascara in one end and brow gel in the other, great for that super groomed look but with a bit of definition on both parts. I'm a big believer that makeup knows no gender, but I do recommend this product to men who don't want to add colour but do want to groom.

Urban Decay - Brow Blade Pencil - I've always loved Urban Decay products, and this is another that's now a staple in my personal kit. It's got a super thin pencil for creating hair like texture but the other side has an ink tint, which lasts really well.
