Wedding Make Up Interview with: Kristy
Categories: Wedding Make Up Interview
We all remember that super hot weekend in September, right? The one with the 35 degree weather? Yeah, that's when Kristy got married! She got ready with her bestie Nikki, and her Mum Sandy at The Mercure in Nottingham, before marrying JP at the The Lord Mayor's Parlour in the Nottingham Council House in an intimate ceremony followed by a meal and a knees up in the evening. It was THE HOTTEST morning I've ever known, but she absolutely kept her cool because she wasn't at all worried about her wedding and had planned the day exactly as her and JP wanted it.
Remember that it's your day, so do it your way! Do exactly what YOU both want.
When did you get engaged, and when did you get married? How long did it take to plan your wedding?
In Slovenia, in May 2023 - then September 2023 for the wedding!

What suppliers did you book first? Feel free to sing their praises!
Ms Moo Make Up!

How did you find me to book me? e.g. Google, social media, recommendation etc.
I already followed your make up page

Why did you book me? Did you consider doing your own makeup?
Absolutely not. I wanted my make up to look nice and professionally done, and I can't do that! I booked you because I knew you'd listen to what I wanted and you've always made your clients look awesome. Also, cruelty free make up is a must for me and that's your whole kit!

How did you find your trial makeup appointment with me?
Hot! Because it was blistering heat. But also I liked how your explained everything you were doing and why.

Would you have changed anything about your wedding makeup?
Nope. Not a thing. It was exactly what I wanted.

Any advice for someone else getting married?
Make sure it is 100% what you want. If you want a massive fairytale, great, go for it and live your best wedding life. If you don't, absolutely do not be tempted to do things you don't want just to please other people. We had 30 people attend the day, and a party upstairs in a pub for the evening. And nobody was changing my mind on that. It's supposed to be a day that reflects you and your partner and makes you happy, so don't let anyone dictate to you.

Kristy's review from Google:
"Sali was my only choice for my wedding make up.
Having used her services before, and comparing her to the experience I had with wedding make up (as a bridesmaid several times) there was no competition really!
Sali brings with her a friendly disposition, humour, and an expertise that is just in a league of its own. My mother had scars from surgery for skin cancer, and was concerned about them showing up in wedding photos. Sali bought specific products to use and my Mum looked absolutely flawless. She felt so pretty on the day and this was such a wonderful thing to see.
Sali had the challenge of doing my make up on the hottest day of the year, but she delivered, and it stayed put.
The additional touches of a little kit with blotting paper, powder, and a brand new lipstick (whichever colour you chose at the make up trial) as well as chewing gum made the care she puts in to each job so evident.
I can't recommend Sali enough, she was on time, she was professional, she made us all feel at ease and she expertly dealt with my nerves on the day.
She's an essential part of your wedding day!"
